What the Art Leather Mat Installation Photo (above) is missing: The prints have to be secured somehow to the album so they don't slide around under the window cutouts!

Two methods are practical.

Method 1: Most Simple.

1. Buy HermaFix Acid Free Double Sided Tape. It is on our order form ( roll of 1,000 double stick tape = best on market ).
2. Position prints under window.
3. Slide print to one side and stick two squares for small prints and up to four for 8x10's on one side of the window opening to the submat of the insert leaf.
4. Slide print carefully over tape being sure to not touch the print where you know the tape is beneath it.
5. When you are positive you have the print lined up perfectly [check all edges of mat so edge of print is not showing] press down on taped area. Done deal. Print is mounted.

The reason to apply the tape squares down one side of the mat window opening: .... you might have to remove the print at a later date {like minutes sometime... and you can do so without ruining the print if you are slow and careful. Also do not use too many tape squares. Two tape squares are often enough.
TIP: When trying to remove a taped on print do not angle the print too deeply ( too much of an angle) when removing or the print will crease and be ruined!

Result of this method. Very fast to mount all prints. Downside: Mat floats above prints causing space. Some do not like the look. Some try to tape down the mat also. Not a permanent solution, and a mess if you need to remove the mat later to replace a print with someone you left out or to scan a print.

This is how Art Leather proposes Photographer's mount prints.

Method 2:

1. Buy Artist Tape ( white acid free 1/2" tape-also on our order form or write in ).
2. Tape print to backside of the mats.
3. Slide mat with prints attached into insert.

Result of this method: Slower to mount prints. It takes one roll of acid free artist tape for up to 36 mats approximately. Upside: Prints easy to change out. Prints are mounted to mat with no gaps between print and mat and looks better in album. Higher end Photographer's use this method.
